Congratulations Rachel Hochstetler & Juan Melendez!

 Ms. Rachel Hochstetler and Mr. Juan Melendez, both seniors at Valley Center High School, were this year’s winners of the Municipal Water District’s District Scholar Award for their essays on the role of California’s Special Districts. W.D. “Bill” Knutson, President of Yuima’s Board of Directors, presented each of them with a certificate and a check for $500 at Yuima’s Board meeting on April 27^th.  Rachel's essay was submitted to the California Special Districts Association where she was awarded an additional $1,000 scholarship from Poseidon Resources.
